parents & carers

vlerahooda

You will be invited to meet your child’s class teacher in each of the three terms each year, in Autumn, in Spring and in Summer, when you will receive a written report about your child’s progress.

If the school has concerns about your child’s work, behaviour, attendance or in anything that affects his/her work, we will contact you in order to discuss how, together, we can overcome the problem.

Parental Involvement in School

  • Parents and Carers are key partners in a child’s learning.
  • We need to work with you in order to ensure that your child achieves his/her best in every aspect of learning.
  • Good communications between home and school are vital
  • Your support to ensure that homework is completed and returned is vital
  • You need to hear your child read regularly
  • When a home/school book is set up, you need to ensure that you play your part in the process
  • Please make every effort to attend Parents’ Consultation meetings – they are set up in order to share information about your child
  • Please make sure that you always send your child to school in school uniform
  • Please ensure your child knows that you expect him/her to always obey the school rules
  • Should any problem arise we need you to inform us as soon as possible
