We are proud of our healthy lunches! Our fabulous chef prepares delicious meals using only the very best fresh ingredients and produce.
The cost of a school meal is £1.90 a day or £9.50 a week.
From September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been entitled to a Universal Free School Meal. Free school meal forms are available from the school office. Please fill this form in even if you decide to give your child a packed lunch.
We ask our parents to bring lunch money to school on Mondays in a sealed clearly labelled envelope – envelopes are available from the main office. We only take cash payments or cheques addressed to De Beauvoir Primary School.
Packed lunches are checked to ensure that they contain a balanced meal. Please ensure that your child’s packed lunch does not contain sweets or chocolate. Muesli or fruit bars and crackers are the only biscuits that should be provided in a packed lunch. Your child may bring a drink of water or pure fruit juice in their packed lunch.
The school lunch menu is available from the school office for you to take away.
We regularly have themed days for example:
Chinese New Year
Walk to School Week

After you have completed your application you will receive an email to confirm your eligibility, which you bring to the school.
Alternatively, you can now answer a few questions on line at www.fsm.lgfl.net which will tell you if you may be eligible.
The government enables every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 in state-funded schools to receive a free school lunch. For more information on how this works please visit the gov.uk website.
