Religious Education


Religious Education lessons are central to pupils’ development spiritually, emotionally, educationally and morally.  R.E. enables pupils to understand more about their own beliefs and the beliefs of others. It is important that pupils learn about a wide range of religions so that they are equipped for the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities of living in our world and are ready to be global citizens.

Our school assemblies reflect the diverse community in which we live and celebrate a wide range of festivals from the six major religions.


We follow the agreed Hackney syllabus for the teaching of Religious Education and teach during bespoke ‘R.E. weeks’. Further details of the Hackney syllabus can be found here:
