As part of the computing curriculum, children are taught how to stay safe online and how to recognise internet dangers. In KS1, children use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private; identify where to go for help and support when they have concerns about content or contact on the internet or other online technologies. In KS2, children use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; recognise acceptable/unacceptable behaviour; identify a range of ways to report concerns about content and contact.
At home, parents should be aware of the programs, games and apps that children are using, ensuring they are age appropriate and children know what to do if they are concerned.
