Rev. Laura Fawcett has been Vicar of the United Benefice of Holy Trinity Dalston and All Saints Haggerston since September 2018. Previous to this she served as a curate with the Parish of Putney following her training with Westcott House Cambridge where she completed her MPhil in Theology and Religious Studies.

Laura was brought up by a parent who was also a dedicated Primary Headteacher in the inner city, and the importance of hard work and opportunity for all has been instilled in her from an early age. Passionate about widening creative opportunities for young people, Laura trained as a secondary drama teacher and as a youth worker, and directed a programme of community arts work at the Salmon Youth Centre for five years prior to ordination.  Laura has worked directing theatre programmes with Battersea Arts Centre, The Theatre Royal Plymouth, The Albany and The National Theatre. She holds a Masters degree in Performance Practices and Research from Central School of Speech and Drama.

Laura enjoys writing and performing poetry and hearing people’s stories. She has two children who attend Holy Trinity Primary School.
